公開講演会「Researching lexical coverage: Comprehension, vocabulary learning, and lexical inferencing」
INFORMATION
Lexical coverage, the proportion of known words in text, is frequently reported to be the key factor in meaning-focused comprehension, and an important variable affecting vocabulary learning and lexical inferencing. However, few studies have investigated the extent to which lexical coverage impacts comprehension of meaning-focused materials, no studies have examined its effects on vocabulary learning, and only two studies have done so for lexical inferencing. In this presentation I will discuss some recent research in this area and its implications for research and pedagogy.
