? On Thursday, March 12, 2020, Ms. Shiori Asakawa, a first-year master’s student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, received the 47th Presentation Award of the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP).
? The award is given to young members who have presented excellent general lecture papers that contribute to the development of applied physics at the spring and fall annual conferences of the Japan Society of Applied Physics, and this year, 39 members selected at the 2019 fall conference received the award.
? The theme of the paper, “Analysis of leaky SAW in LiNbO3/SiO2/crystal structure,” reports the research results that theoretically revealed that the resonant characteristics of surface acoustic waves (SAW) are improved when a dielectric amorphous thin film is placed as an intermediate layer in a dissimilar material junction structure, which is expected to be a technology for improving the performance of high-frequency filters used in smartphones and other devices.
? Ms. Asakawa said, “I am very pleased that many people have highly evaluated my research. I would like to thank Professor Kakio and everyone in my laboratory for their guidance and cooperation. Encouraged by this award, I will continue to contribute to the development of this field to achieve even higher goals.

 令和2年3月12日(星期四),大学院硕士课程工学专业电气电子工学课程1年级的浅川诗织(指导教师:垣尾省司教授)获得了第47届公益社团法人应用物理学会演讲奖励奖。
 该奖项是应用物理学会在春季和秋季的学术演讲会中,授予发表了对应用物理学有贡献的优秀演讲论文的年轻会员。这次在2019年秋季学术演讲会中选出了39名获奖者。
 获奖题目是《LiNbO3/SiO2/水晶结构中Leakey SAW的解析》,设计将绝缘非晶薄膜作为异种材料介电体结合结构的中间层,理论上明确了可以使弹性表面波(SAW)的谐振特性得到提高。该设计有望可以应用于智能手机等使用的高频滤波器。
 获奖的浅川同学说:“我很高兴自己的研究得到大家的认可。衷心感谢给予指导和协助的垣尾教授以及研究室的各位。我将以这次获奖为激励,不断进步,为本领域的发展做出贡献。”
